AP

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A public relations consultant and his company have been indicted for allegedly funneling contributions through his employees to a Bexar (BAYR) Metropolitan Water District board candidate.

A Bexar County grand jury indicted T.J. Connolly on charges of violating the Texas Election Code. He surrendered to authorities late yesterday and declined to comment on the felony indictment, which he says he had expected.

The indictments name Connolly in five counts and his business, Connolly & Company, in five other counts. It alleges Connolly funneled contributions through his employees to board candidate Blanche Atkinson.

Connolly's wife, Patsy, committed suicide less than two months into the investigation.

Susan Reed has been on the job so long she believes her own BS. She outs local politicians but will not release the name of her own employees involed in gaming. Pehaps all those afternoons slaming down vodka at the Polo Bar have taken thier toll on the DA. Killing an innocent man was not enough for the Express-News to question here abilities, she is now given a pass on determining what is appropriate for the public inforamtion act. She no longer deserves the title of DA, she is just another San Antonio corrupt politician.
